Jessica Casselman is new to the Calgary theatre scene, and is thrilled to be a part of this years Artists' Collective fringe productions of Rel8shun and The Apple Kingdom. She is excited to be working with such an amazing group of people, and could not be more thankful for the opportunity. She hopes you enjoy the shows! Jessica held the position of Assistant Stage Manager at the 2013 Calgary Fringe and Stage Manager at the InterPlay Festival.
Kelley Cheetham is pleased to once again be a part of an ACT show. She is a graduate of the Mount Royal University Technical Production program. Selected credits include: It's a Wonderful Life (Arts Club Theatre), Pride and Prejudice (Theatre Calgary), Everything is Awful, Manley Dunn, Destroy (Sage Theatre Ignite! Festival), All Shook Up (Gateway Theatre), Amadeus (Chemainus Theatre Festival), Heterophobia (Beyond Closed Doors), Studies in Motion and Robin Hood (ATP). Next up, Kelley will be apprentice stage managing RED at ATP. Love and thanks to her family, friends and the guy in the sky. Kelley held the position of Stage Manager at the Calgary One Act Festival production.
Andrew Cormier is a recent High School graduate involved closely with the drama department ready to hit the theatre world full force. To enter the Apple Kingdom at a later stage than some of the cast, Andrew was amazed to find how welcoming and friendly everyone has been. It's been a great experience and Andrew finds it a real pleasure to be surrounded by such a talented group of people. Andrew was part of the Ensemble at the 2013 Calgary Fringe and Fort MacMurray InterPlay Festival.
Amanda Liz Cutting is thrilled to be a part of The Apple Kingdom. Selected credits include Comedy of Errors (Luciana), Macbeth (1st Witch), Rumors (Chris), Frankenstein (Elizabeth), Under Milk Wood (9 Characters), Until the Glass Stops Working (Gillian) and a Poker Girls webisode. Recently she finished portraying Clair in Rel8Shun. She recently had the honour of directing a bunch of talented artists in Morpheus Theater's production of The Diary of Anne Frank. She is a Mount Royal University Graduate in Theatre Arts. Amanda played the role of The Lizard at the Calgary One Act Festival and 2013 Fringe. She also held the position of Assistant Director and Executive Producer at the 2013 Fringe.
MacKenzie Fell played the role of Princess Catherine at the Interplay Festival.
Krysia Ferguson is very excited to be a part of The Apple Kingdom. She has been singing and dancing since she was three years old. She currently studies voice with Rachel Hop, and also attends Mount Royal's Vocal Academy for gifted singers. Krysia previously trained at dance studios such as Decidedly Jazz and Centre 58, but now studies with Chelsea Mason at the Willow Park School of Creative Arts. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip-hop, modern, and contemporary. She also plays the piano, enjoys writing, running, and spending time with friends and family. Krysia was part of the Ensemble at the Calgary One Act Festival and 2013 Fringe.
Daniel Fong is thrilled to be part of this fantastic show. Daniel is a graduate of Grant MacEwan University Theatre Arts Program. Recently Daniel has been part of IGNITE!2013 (The Wasp), The Raven A new Musical, A Christmas Carol at the Belfry Theatre in Victoria, as well as Shakespeare in the Park (Puck) with Theatre Calgary and MRU. And a University season which incudes; Once on this Island, XANADU, Vernon God Little, Merrily We Roll Along, and Thebans. Thanks to mom and dad and my agent Liz. Daniel played Prince Aldric in the 2013 Calgary One Act Festival and the Calgary Fringe.
Morgan Garnier comes to The Apple Kingdom fresh from Morpheus' recent production of The Diary of Anne Frank where she played Anne. She as been nominated for a CAT award (best actress) for this performance. She would like to thank her family for all their support. Morgan was part of the Ensemble.
Sarah Irwin is a newcomer to the Calgary theatre scene, and couldn't be more excited to be apart of the Fringe Festival this summer. A graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, Sarah continued studying this year at the Company of Rogues in Calgary. Most recently she was seen in Storybook Theatre's production of The Last 5 Years. She is very excited to be playing the wicked witch Zama Kor alongside such a talented cast, and hopes you enjoy the show as much as she does! Sarah was part of the Ensemble at the 2013 Calgary One Act Festival and Zama Kor at the Calgary Fringe.
Andrew Leitch is in his second year of psychology at the University of Calgary. He has had the honour of being involved with such shows as Guys and Dolls, Little Women the Musical, and Children of Eden since his foray into theatre in 2011. Andrew enjoys being involved in as much instrumental and choral music as his schedule and his newfound delight in theatre will allow. He is grateful and excited to be a part of this community! Andrew played The King at the Calgary One Act Festival.
Evan Lindberg is thrilled to be a part of The Apple Kingdom. Recent credits include: The Diary of Anne Frank (Morpheus Theatre), The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (Storybook Theatre), Seussical The Musical, Honk, and The Sound of Music. Evan also studies voice both privately with Angela Cavar, and with the Mount Royal Vocal Academy. Evan played Prince Aldric at the Calgary One Act Festival and 2013 Fringe.
Charlotte Loeppky has been creating, performing and directing music and plays since childhood. She currently runs a Junior High School Theatre program and performs as a singer/songwriter with acoustic duo Solicitors' Bench. Recent theatre credits include The Apple Kingdom (Musical Director), The Diary of Anne Frank (Edith Frank), Les Miserables (Stage Manager), Assassins (orchestra) Brigadoon (ensemble) and Godspell (Peggy). Charlotte is an ongoing student of Meisner Technique and is ever looking forward to new roles and opportunities in the theatre world and beyond. Charlotte held the positions of Musical Director, Arranger and Musician (Keyboard).
Aidan Lytton graduated from the U of C with a multidisciplinary BA in 2012, and is currently pursuing sound design and music in the Calgary arts scene. Recent projects include: sound design for Morpheus Theatre's The Diary of Anne Frank, sound design and original composition for Steven J. Evanik's A Spark Extinguished, and sound design for Sage Theatre's 2013 Ignite! Festival. Aidan is jazzed to be jamming out the Fringe with the lovely Apple Kingdom family. Aidan held the position of Sound Designer.
Brian MacDougal is pleased to be a part of his first ACT show! Recently returning from Europe off Broadway he just completed the stage workshop of The Raven. He would like to thank his family and friends for all their support. Brian was part of the Ensemble at the Calgary Fringe2013 and InterPlay.
Michelle McAulay This is Michelle's fourth production here in Calgary, she has worked on Rel8shun, The Lonely Soldier Monologues (Artists' Collective Theatre) and The Diary of Anne Frank (Morpheus Theatre). From Nanaimo BC where she attends Vancouver Island University working towards her Bachelor of Arts, minors in Theatre and Creative Writing. She is gearing up for her final show in Nanaimo, The Rimers of Eldritch (VIU Theatre) before heading to Calgary full time to continue working as a Lighting Designer. Michelle held the position Lighting Designer at the Calgary One Act Festival.
Kathleen McGroarty is a recent graduate of the Theatre Arts program at MacEwan University. During her time at MacEwan, Kathleen played the Witch in Into the Woods, Martha in Spring Awakening, Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music, and was a part of the ensemble in The Musical of Musicals: The Musical! She is very excited to be a part of The Apple Kingdom, and hopes everyone enjoys the show! Kathleen played Zama Kor at the 2013 Calgary Fringe.
Michelle McKey recently graduated with a BFA in Drama and BA in English, with a creative writing concentration, from the University of Calgary. She is a poet, playwright, director and actor. Selected past stage credits include Shooshoo and Vlum (Wagonstage), Bones for Otto, Ernestine Shuswap Gets Her Trout, Trojan Women, and Fair Liberty's Call (U of C), The Lonely Soldier Monologues (ACT). On the grand life-picture scale, she would like to thank those who began the journey with her, those who joined mid-way, and those sticking around for the credit roll. You're the reason, the inspiration, the motive, and the goal! Michelle was part of the Ensemble and held the role of mime consultant.
Zach Peterson is very excited to be a part of The Apple Kingdom with such talented people. Some of his credits in theatre include The Raven (Blake), The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe (Maugrim), Tartuffe (Cleante), Interview (1st Applicant), and Into The Woods (The Baker). Zach absolutely loves to sing, act, dance, and is also adept at playing many instruments. Zach played the role of Young King at the Alberta One Act Festival and 2013 Calgary Fringe. He also played the role of King in the 2013 Calgary Fringe.
Brent Middleton is excited for his first show with the talented people of ACT. In Calgary he has been seen in Storybook Theatre's White Christmas as Phil Davis, and Joseph and the Techinicolor Dreamcoat as the Pharaoh. He has also played Snoopy in You`re a Good Man Charlie Brown in Niagara Falls with Oh Canada Eh!, as well as Canmore`s Cornerstone Theatre in Snoopy: The Musical!, and toured the Caribbean with Carnival Cruise Lines. When not performing Brent is found in a lab or library, nose in a book, completing his senior year of a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Mount Royal University. Brent played the role of Old King and King in the 2013 Calgary Fringe.
Eden Neilson was most recently seen as Anne in Morpheus Theatre's The Diary of Anne Frank and Baby June in Front Row Centre's Gypsy. She is thrilled to make her debut with Artists' Collective Theatre as Catherine in The Apple Kingdom. Eden is grateful for the opportunities she is being given to explore and portray such beautiful characters. Eden played the role of Princess Catherine at the 2013 Calgary Fringe.
Eric Pettifor is a graduate of the Vancouver Playhouse Acting School, and has directed such plays as Shakespeare's Cymbeline, Noel Coward's The Vortex, and Edward Albee's Seascape. He recently assistant directed Rel8shun, which ran at the Pumphouse June of 2012 and in one act form at the Nanaimo Fringe Festival. He directed ACT's inaugral production The Lonely Soldier Monologues in October of 2012. He played Otto Frank in Morpheus Theatre's production of The Diary of Anne Frank this January. He is thrilled with the way the cast and crew of The Apple Kingdom have taken his blueprints and made of them something amazing. Eric held the positions of Writer, Director and Composer.
Tyler Reinhold has been working on The Apple Kingdom since the first rehearsal over 5 months ago and ecstatic to be bringing it to the Calgary Fringe Festival. Tyler's recent Theatre credits include "Orlando" and "County Paris" in Primestock Theatre's 'As You Like It' and 'Romeo and Juliet' (respectively). A principle role in 'Nine Months is Just an Arbitrary Number' for Sage Theatre's Ignite! Festival 2013 and 'Mr. Alfred Dussel' in "The Diary of Anne Frank" in which he was nominated for a Calgary Theatre Award (along with numerous co-stars). Tyler was part of the Ensemble for Calgary One Act Festival; the Lizard for the Alberta Festival and the 2013 Fringe. Tyler was the winner of outstanding actor as the Lizard at the Alberta one Act Festival.
Michele Sinclair is a character stylist, she's been versatile on collaborations within the 6 years of film/stage/stills as a principal makeup artist & practical effects technician. Strong education in Technical Operations Film/Video helped access experience & opportunity on all performing platforms. When she's not creating zombie appliances, you will find her endurance singing amplified hits into the woods. Tracy Smith is excited to be a part of this original production. Her work in the theatre has been quite varied, from acting and singing to running crew, stage manager, costume assistant and now producer. She would like to thank the cast and crew of The Apple Kingdom for their skills and talent and hopes you all enjoy The Apple Kingdom! Tracy held the position of Producer at the Calgary and Alberta One Act Festivals.
Madeleine Suddaby is somewhat of a newcomer to the Calgary theatre community, and so far it's been treating her well! Previous credits include Judy Haynes in White Christmas (Storybook), Kate Monster in Avenue Q (Storybook), and Miss Adelaide in Guys And Dolls (U of C). This will be the first time Madeleine has ever had the opportunity to play an evil witch, so she hopes it's believable! Look for her as Raine in the upcoming production of The Raven, A New Musical. She thanks her dearest Mutti and Vati for all their support and love.
Emerald Tofte adores musicals and is ecstatic to be involved in the premier of the one act version of The Apple Kingdom. Past theatre credits include: The Diary of Anne Frank (Morpheus Theatre) and Zip-loc Bags (Calgary One-Act Festival). She feels privileged to be working with such an incredibly talented and inspiring group of people. She would like to thank the cast, crew and her friends and family for their encouragement and love. Megan Tracz is thrilled to be apart of such an amazing group. She has been in The Sound of Music (New Opera Society), 2 years of The Canadian Badlands Passion Play and The Diary of Anne Frank (Morpheus Theatre). Megan plans to go into Music Therapy. Megan played the role of Princess Catherine.
Phaedra Vandenbrun graduated from Ryerson University in 1994 (Apparel Production). Since then she has been creating historical reproductions, and costumes for theatre, film, and collectors. She is an award winning designer who continues to provide creative costume solutions to the film, theatre and arts community. She has just launched her company, Wearhaus: a full service costume supply company. Phaedra held the position of Costume Designer.
Heimen Van Essen has been involved in 12 musical productions since 2004. Ranging from Jesus Christ Superstar to Hair to The Wedding Singer and everything in between. Always on stage, this will be his first chance to sit in the pit. The past three years he has been busy with the musical duet Solicitors' Bench, and they as the duo are proud and excited to be part of this talented and truly wonderful original production! Helmen held the position of Musician (guitar).
Blair Young is proud to be a part of such a great cast and project! His journey has been a crooked one that includes stints as a teacher, journalist and postal carrier. Theatre credits include A Chorus Line, The Mousetrap, The Threepenny Opera, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well, and most recently as Edgar in The Raven. Film and tv credits include Goosebumps, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Hell on Wheels and most recently, Bluff! He wants to thank his 3 girls for putting up with his temperament and timetable, and wishes to thank the cast for such a great welcome! Blair played the role of King at the One Act Festival and the 2013 Calgary Fringe.
