Island Summer Theatre Festival Audition Announcement
About Us: The Island Summer Theatre Festival, hosted by Artists’ Collective Theatre, is an exciting, vibrant celebration of live theatre! Each summer, we bring together talented actors, directors, designers, and technicians to showcase two amazing productions that will leave audiences entertained and inspired. This year, we are thrilled to present "As You Like It" by William Shakespeare and "Robin Hood: Prince of Outlaws" by Ben Francis. The festival takes place July 29 - August 3, 2025 at Maffeo Sutton. The shows will also tour the week prior (TBC).
General Season: In addition to our festival performances, we will also be holding auditions for
our Fall production taking place in late October which has yet to be announced.
our Fall touring show calling for three female performers, aged 12-22.
Audition Information: We are looking for actors of all experience levels to join us this summer! We encourage everyone to audition, with a special call for youth actors as well! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, we want to see your talent shine.
Shows in the Festival:
As You Like It: A whimsical and romantic Shakespearean classic set in the Forest of Arden, full of love, humor, and disguise.
Robin Hood: Prince of Outlaws: A thrilling, action-packed retelling of the legendary tale of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, penned by Ben Francis.

What to Prepare:
For As You Like It: Prepare a monologue (or an excerpt of your choice from the play)
For Robin Hood: Prince of Outlaws: Prepare a short monologue or scene from any genre (comedic preferred).
For youth actors (ages 8-16): A short monologue or poem, or be ready to perform a short group activity to showcase your imagination and physicality.
Please note: Artists’ Collective Theatre celebrates and honors local artists for their ability to enrich and transform our community. We welcome artists of all ages, ethnicities, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, religious beliefs, and abilities.
Important:
Callbacks will be scheduled shortly after auditions. Select callbacks may be held the same day..
We will be casting for both main roles and ensemble roles in both productions.
There will be opportunities for young talent in both productions.
